Our Vision for the School Technology Plan:
To our current traditional technology model, that is, a dedicated computer lab, classroom PC’s and interactive whiteboards, we will also include a dedicated laptop for students in grades 5 through 8. Each student will be assigned a laptop beginning grade 5 which will remain with them through their 8th grade year. It will be an integral part of each student’s school and classroom learning experience.
Technology offers students an avenue to succeed as citizens in a global society in which information is growing at an incredible rate. It can improve communications, enhance thinking skills, make instruction more efficient and effective, and develop life skills critical to success. OLPH will incorporate technology as a means of integrating curriculum across subject areas. Students and educators will be guaranteed opportunities to use technology as an integral part of education.
